Adding great value to Storm’s forward stocks this season, Tristan Powell proved to be a standout player for the Easts Tigers in the HostPlus competition, scoring a try to help Tigers break a 32-year Premiership drought.
Showcasing his strong running game and hard-hitting defence, the former U16 and U18 QLD Maroons representative racked up 699 post contact metres and 477 tackles at 93% efficiency in his 21 appearances.
The Goondiwindi juniors strong season was rewarded with Forward of the Year honours at the Brisbane Tigers Player of the Year Awards night.
