Waitere is in his first season with Melbourne after signing a two-year deal in December.
A promising young back, comfortable at both centre and five-eighth, Waitere made his NRL debut in Round 27 last year for Canberra against the Dolphins.
The New Zealand-born talent enjoyed a strong 2025 season, playing 24 NSW Cup matches for the Raiders and scoring nine tries.
