Fullback Billy Slater has given the best endorsement of his troublesome hamstring yet as the Queensland legend looks to be a certain starter for Sunday's Origin 2 showdown.
"I wouldn't be in this situation if I didn't think I was going to be right for Sunday," Slater said following training yesterday.
"It's still improving and I'm really happy with where it is.
"I've given myself plenty of time to overcome it so I was happy with how I got through the session."
Being the first hamstring injury of his career, the rehab process has been somewhat of an unknown for the champion number one.

"It's not your typical injury where you can feel the pain all the time," Slater said.
"It's something you can manage and go through the process and steps, you can't just jump in and do as much rehab as you want.
"It's a balance between rest and letting it heal and getting the strength and rehab into it.
"You understand what it takes to play a game and Origin. I am pretty confident I will be right for Sunday."
