Melbourne Storm will channel the year 2000 on Saturday night when they step out in their throwback jersey for Men of League Heritage Round.

The Club will wear a special one-off Heritage jersey based on the strip that was worn in two historic clashes during the 2000 season.

In Melbourne's World Club Challenge triumph over St Helens at Wigan’s JJB Stadium Storm stepped out in the predominantly navy kit, featuring silver lightning bolts creating a traditional Victorian ‘V’ as well as collar. The kit also featured again in its Round 5 showdown with the Dragons at the Melbourne Cricket Ground later that year.

Be at AAMI Park when we take on the Roosters, Saturday 23 July, 7:30pm.

The wearing of the 2000 Heritage jersey, designed by apparel partner Star also coincides with Melbourne Old Boys weekend which will see a number of Storm’s past players return to the club for Saturday night’s match.

Replica 2016 Heritage jerseys are available for sale at the Melbourne Storm Megastore online and on game day from merchandise outlets.

Player issued and signed heritage jerseys from the Round 20 match against the Roosters are available for purchase at the Club’s Online Auctions page.
