Melbourne Storm is proud to celebrate a historic milestone for its Female Pathways program, with four players selected in the 2026 Australian Schoolgirls squad following last week’s Australian Secondary Schools Rugby League (ASSRL) National Championships in Coffs Harbour.
Eboni Heurea, Halo Titimaea, Harmony Taupau and Rozaliah Matavo have all earned selection after impressive performances throughout the six-day tournament, becoming the first Victorian players to be selected in the Australian Schoolgirls squad.
They will travel to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, in October to represent Australia against the Junior Orchids.
Their selection is a significant achievement not only for the players but also for the continued growth of female rugby league in Victoria.
Melbourne Storm Female Pathways Manager Pauline Poloai commented:
“Having four Storm Female Pathways players recognised at the highest schoolgirl level is a testament to the commitment, resilience and dedication shown by each player and staff throughout the season.
“This achievement also reflects the invaluable support of their families, schools, junior clubs, coaches, and the many staff who continue to invest in the growth of female rugby league across Victoria.”
After strong inaugural campaigns with Melbourne Storm’s Lisa Fiaola and Tarsha Gale Cup programs earlier this year, Eboni, Halo, Harmony and Rozaliah have continued to impress on the representative stage, earning the opportunity to wear green and gold later this year.
Everyone at Melbourne Storm congratulates the four players on this outstanding achievement and wishes them every success as they proudly represent Melbourne Storm, Victoria, and Australia in October.
