Melbourne Storm’s NSW Cup side has gone down 32-6 to the North Sydney Bears in Round 26.
The Storm faced an early challenge after the Bears opened the scoring in the second minute, with North Sydney adding further points throughout the opening half.
Melbourne continued to work hard to find a way back into the contest but entered the half-time break trailing 18-0.
The Storm responded strongly after the interval, with Trent Toelau crossing in the 44th minute after a line break and offload from Alize Clarke, to finally put Melbourne on the scoreboard.
Trent Toelau converted his own try to bring the score to 18-6 and give Storm some second half momentum.
Unfortunately, the Bears were able to regain control and extended their advantage in the closing stages to secure the 32-6 result.
The result marks the end of Storm’s inaugural 2026 NSW Cup campaign, bringing the season to a close following a year of development and competition.
