Harry Grant hits 50

Harry Grant will record his 50th NRL game in Melbourne Storm’s Round 24 clash with the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

Born in Rockhampton, Queensland Grant began his rugby league journey with the Yeppoon Seagulls who he still holds close to his heart. Joining the Melbourne Storm NYC in 2016, he went on to make a quick impression scoring 9 tries from 21 appearances.

In 2018, Grant made his first-grade and Melbourne Storm debut, receiving player number 188 from Club legend Cameron Smith.

Becoming the first NRL player involved in a loan agreement, Grant spent the 2020 season on loan with the Wests Tigers gaining valuable experience from 15 games as hooker, scoring 3 tries for the Sydney side.

Bursting with talent on return from the Tigers, Grant went on to become a mainstay in the Storm on-field squad again appearing in 15 games and going over the line 5 times in the purple jersey before going on to his first finals campaign.

The hooker’s talents have shone brighter than first-grade NRL, with the Queensland native pulling on the Maroons jersey in the past three seasons, 2020, 2021 and 2022. Improving with each performance, Grant has become a key playmaker in the Origin games.

A kind and funny personality on and off the field, Grant’s fan-favourite status already cements him as a key figure in the Melbourne Storm squad. We can’t wait to see what another 50 hold.
