Storm continue partnership with Good Friday Appeal

After a successful 2021, Melbourne Storm are once again partnering with the Good Friday Appeal to support and raise funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital.

Last year Storm members, fans and partners helped raise an incredible $120,000. This year, the Club is ready to do it all over again at this Sunday’s clash against the Canterbury Bulldogs.

To support the cause, you can choose to add a donation amount on top of your ticket purchase, with all proceeds going to the Appeal. Donations like yours help fund live-saving research, state-of-the-art equipment, dedicated staff and family care, ensuring the Hospital can continue to provide world-class care to our most vulnerable kids.

After kicking off the 2022 campaign at Neil’s Cruise for the Kids where halfback, Cooper Johns, helped raise $1,693, the Club will continue to fundraise through a number of activities.

Good Friday Appeal director, Rebecca Cowan stated,

“The Good Friday Appeal is thrilled to be partnering with the Melbourne Storm again this year.  Like the Good Friday Appeal, the Melbourne Storm has a special place in the hearts of many Victorians, and we look forward to engaging their players, staff and fans to continue to raise funds to provide world class care for the kids,”

Money raised through this year's Good Friday Appeal will go towards research, education and medical equipment. One such program to benefit will be the CARE (4 Kids) program, which will help provide comprehensive care to oncology patients, including supporting mental health, educational and psychosocial needs.

If you can’t get to the match but want to make a donation, we’re once again shaking a virtual tin. Even if you’re unable to donate, one share of our donation page is one virtual shake of the tin, one virtual car stopped at the traffic lights and one virtual knock on a neighbour's door.

Our Major Partner RedZed are once again generously matching our fundraising - up to our goal of 50k.
