Stats that matter: Round 2 v Eels

Craig Bellamy praised his side's effort during a tough loss to Parramatta in the wet on Thursday night, and the stats sheet proves tenacity certainly wasn't lacking.

Justin Olam made 9 tackle breaks and two line break assists on his way to a stirring second half try and earned the most fantasy points for Melbourne (65).

A wet surface didn't slow down Ryan Papenhuyzen, who ran 249 metres - the most for either side. He converted two from two field goal attempts, made one line break and one try assist.

Christian Welch made the most tackles for Storm (41) in a bruising match that was an arm wrestle for almost the entire 80 minutes.

Melbourne completed 37 of 47 sets with average set distance 39.1 metres.
