Last time we met the Raiders

We last met the Raiders at GIO Stadium in Canberra way back in round two.

It was our first game on the road in season 2019 and a hat trick from Suli Vunivalu helped us power to a 22-10 win under Friday night lights.

Suli scored all three meat pies before halftime, opening his account in the eighth minute courtesy of a sweet pass from Jahrome Hughes, who was playing only his second game as regular starting fullback.

The possession evened up in the second half - Canberra scored twice through Jarrod Croker as the Green Machine threatened to pull off a comeback in front of more than 14,000 fans.

Felise Kaufusi sprinted 60 metres after a split kick, allowing Nelson Asofa-Solomona to charge over the line to stretch the margin to 22-4 with less than 20 minutes remaining.

Croker scooped up a loose ball, scored out wide and converted his own try, breathing life back into the home side and narrowing the gap to only two converted tries with 13 minutes left on the clock, but the Raiders were unable to score again and we clinched our first away win for the year.
