Seve shines in Easts win

Mid-season Storm signing Marion Seve bagged a double and produced monster metres as Easts Tigers dominated the Mackay Cutters 44-10.

The Tigers led from start to finish and made it four straight wins to remain one game clear inside the Intrust Super Cup top eight.

Seve scored Easts' first and last tries of the game while Patrick Kaufusi and Albert Vete dominated up the middle, making nearly 50 tackles between them.

Teenagers Tino Fa'Asuamaleaui and Kelma Tuilagi also performed strongly against significantly more experienced opposition.

"(Marion) has been a great addition to the side," Easts coach Scott Sipple said.

"He ran for over 305 metres on the weekend so he was really impressive.

"Young Tino also ran for over 100 metres after backing up from Under-20s Origin last Wednesday. Kelma and Tino were outstanding for their second or third game in reserve grade."
