Christian Welch has been named 18th man for Queensland ahead of Origin 3 on Wednesday night.
The 22-year old joined the Maroons' squad in the lead up to Game 2 of this year's Origin series and has also been part of the state's Emerging Origin squad.
Welch has played all but one game for Storm so far in 2018 and has made a successful return from a knee injury which prematurely ended his 2017 season.
The prop forward played his 50th game last round against the Dragons at AAMI Park, putting in a strong shift after starting the match in the front row.
