The Sunshine Coast Falcons slumped to their second straight defeat, succumbing to the Townsville Blackhawks 22-8.

Despite having a young line up in the visitors managed to hang in for much of the contest however after losing two players early on in the contest, they eventually ran out of legs.

Lachlan Timm and new recruit Tom Eisenhuth were the standouts for the Falcons.

"Timmsy and Tommy were outstanding for us," Falcons coach Craig Ingebrigtsen said.

"For Timmsy to play that many minutes in the front row is a big achievement and to take accountability for the footy side. He is just 21 years old.

"Tom was really good in his first game for us. I was really impressed with his whole attitude and demeanour. We are really excited to have Tommy play for us.

"He will do the Storm system proud down there."
