Blair scores in comeback game

Cheyse Blair made a successful return from injury with Easts Tigers on Saturday.

In his first game since Round 18 last year, the Storm centre took just 11 minutes to find the try line in his comeback game.

Despite scoring three tries apiece against Norths Devils, the Tigers fell short by two points.

Brodie Croft and Patrick Kaufusi also performed strongly though it was Blair who was the feel good story after almost a year out of the game.

"He was very strong for his first hit out in about six months," Easts coach Scott Sipple said.

"His lungs were burning a bit having to play through 80 minutes but it was good for him to get through the game unscathed."

Easts are currently in eighth position on the Intrust Super Cup ladder with a 3-5 record.

They travel to face Souths Logan Magpies this Sunday afternoon.
