Sunshine Coast produced the perfect response after last week’s disappointment, defeating the Mackay Cutters 32-4 on the road.

The emphatic win came off the back of three unanswered tries in the second half.

Storm forward Lachlan Timm got on the try sheet while fellow prop Tui Kamikamica had his best performance of the season.

Best afield honours belonged to young Storm hooker Harry Grant who was brilliant for the entire game and was rewarded with a 77th minute try that put an exclamation point on the victory.

“Harry was our best, he was really good,” Falcons coach Craig Ingebrigtsen said.

“He has exceeded expectations after just five rounds. He is playing 80 minutes and there are seasoned Queensland Cup hookers that don’t play 80 minutes.

“It is a real credit to him and the Storm system to what he is achieving on a daily basis. There is a lot more ceiling for him to get to which is the exciting thing and his attitude has been great.”

The Falcons will host the Townsville Blackhawks this Saturday.
