Our home fixture explained
Melbourne Storm home games will have something for everyone in 2018 with a variety of timeslots and marquee games set to feature throughout the season.
A total of 11 home games will be played in Melbourne, four in popular Saturday evening/night timeslots while two additional games will be held at family-friendly times on Sunday afternoons.
There will certainly be no shortage of blockbuster games at AAMI Park with six of the seven fellow top eight sides from this year set to make the trip down south.
The Friday 6pm game in Round 6 against the Knights and Thursday night Round 17 clash against the Dragons will both be played during school holidays.
A feature of this year’s draw is home matches against rivals Brisbane and Cronulla, both on Sunday afternoons to allow Storm families to come along and support their side.
After seeing the team open its premiership defence in Perth against the Bulldogs, the purple army will get an early dose of NRL action with two back-to-back home games in the space of five days.
The first will be on a Saturday night against the Wests Tigers before the 2017 Grand Finalists square off when North Queensland come to town for a must-see Thursday night showdown.
The traditional ANZAC Day clash against the Warriors is back once again with yet another massive crowd expected at AAMI Park.
Melburnians will also be able to come along for the ride at the business end of the season with Storm to play four of their last six games at home.
