Cameron Munster has joined the Maroons in Sydney ahead of Game II on Wednesday night.

The 22-year-old has been named 18th man for the crucial contest as Queensland look to overturn a 28-4 defeat in the opening game of the series.

Munster will only be called into the 17 for his Origin debut should Queensland suffer an injury prior to kick off.

Munster's inclusion makes it a total of six Storm players in the Queensland squad, including Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk, Billy Slater, Will Chambers and first gamer Tim Glasby.

The exciting playmaker was pivotal in guiding a young Storm side to a golden point victory over the Cowboys at the weekend. He finished the game with 188 metres, three line break assists and a game-high seven tackle busts.
