The NRL have made several changes to the Team Announcement process for the 2017 season.
This year teams will announce a 21-man squad every Tuesday at 4pm.
In a significant change, players not selected in this original squad of 21 will not be eligible to play NRL that weekend unless a special exemption is granted.
This squad of 21 will then be trimmed to 19 players 24 hours before the game and then a final 17-man team will be named one hour before kick-off.
Team List Tuesday is back tomorrow with Storm to name their Round 1 team for Friday night’s season opener against the Bulldogs.
Melbourne will take on Canterbury at Belmore Sports Ground in what will be his first game in the competition’s new Friday 6pm timeslot.
