Cowboys coach Paul Green has attempted to start up some mind games before tomorrow night’s Qualifying final against Storm.

Green tried his best to push his agenda at his Friday press conference in Melbourne, claiming his “biggest worry is how the refs interpret the ruck.”

When asked to respond a few hours later, Storm head coach Craig Bellamy was feeling a sense of déjà vu.

“Paul came into the press conference this morning and made a statement, I don’t think he answered a question. It was a very pre-conceived message from him, which is all very predictable at this time of year,” Craig Bellamy said.

“We played them five or six weeks ago but he didn’t have a problem with the ruck then, he didn’t mention it.

“We haven’t changed anything in five or six weeks, we haven’t changed anything in 26 weeks to be quite honest.

“He is just trying to get an advantage there from the referees and the referees will referee how they see it.”

The Cowboys won the penalty count in both meetings this year.

Come kickoff time tomorrow night, Bellamy is confident the officials will just go out and do their job.

“I’m sure the referee is not going to take any notice of that, they are just going to go out and do their job like we want them to do and referee like they have for the 26 rounds,” Bellamy said.

“I think we should let the referees get on with their job and we will get on with our job.”
