Victorian set for Wembley stage

Victorian and former Storm player Mahe Fonua will take centre stage for Hull in the Challenge Cup final later this month.

The winger will line up in front of more 80,000 fans at the famous Wembley Stadium.

Hull will take on Warrington Wolves, who will be lead by former NRL stars Kurt Gidley and Chris Sandow.

Be at AAMI Park when we take on the Broncos, Friday 26 August, 7:30pm.

Sika Manu, another former Storm player, will also be playing for Hull in the rugby league showpiece.

Fonua has scored eight tries in 17 games for Hull this season and has played predominantly at centre.

The first Victorian to play for Storm, Fonua left Melbourne at the end of last season to move to the English Super League.

The 23-year-old has helped Hull reach top spot in the competition this year and will now focus on trying to deliver Hull’s first Challenge Cup since 2005.

Ryan Hoffman and Blake Green are two past and present Storm players who have won the trophy in the past.

The match will be played on Sunday, 28th August at 12am and be broadcast live in Australia on beIN Sports.
