Frank Ponissi Injury Update: Round 9

Melbourne Storm Director of Football Frank Ponissi has provided an injury update ahead of Friday’s Round 9 game against the Dolphins.

Ativalu Lisati (calf):

“Ativalu was very close to selection for the ANZAC Day game, but we felt he was just a bit short. He’s right for this weekend’s game (against the Dolphins) and will be a welcomed addition to our team.”

Frank Ponissi Injury Update: Round 9

Jahrome Hughes (concussion):

“Jahrome’s wrist is fine, but he failed his HIA when he came off on Saturday night and now enters the concussion protocols. At this stage we expect him to pass and be available for Sunday week against the Tigers (at AAMI Park).”

Xavier Coates (Achilles):

“Xavier is just about to start full running, which is a great sign. That will include some individual running until he puts enough miles into his legs to return to team training. After a couple weeks (training) with the team we’re hoping he’ll be back playing within the month, which will be a great boost for everyone.”

Tui Kamikamica (medical):

“Tui has started a small amount of training. He had a minor procedure (last week) which was successful and he’s now recovering and resuming his rehab training (at the Club). There’s no set date for Tui’s return, we’ll just monitor his rehab, but we’re hopeful he’ll play again in 2026.”

Marion Seve (tricep):

“Marion is doing his own individual rehab training (and will continue for the next two weeks). At some stage he will be slowly integrated into team training. We’re looking at another two months (or so) until he’ll be available to play again.”
