The Thunderbolts will see this weekend’s trip to WIN Stadium as another chance to take the next step in their development.

The wins may not have flowed just yet but Storm’s Under-20s side have shown their hunger for the contest in every game this year.

Last week against the Roosters they remained level at 16-all before being eventually over run 42-20.

Be at AAMI Park when we take on the Tigers, Sunday 26 June, 4pm.

The score line may not have been the desired result but coach Eric Smith took plenty of heart from what his young side showed.

“We were really impressed with the way we competed early on last week. We defended really well and competed really well with them,” Smith said.

“On the road again this week and playing against the Dragons we know they are really big on their edges and play both flanks.

“We’ve got to make sure we are really good defensively and are competing like we did against the Roosters but make sure we do it for the full 80 minutes instead of 65 like we did on the weekend.”

Storm fans will be able to tune in to see the Thunderbolts LIVE in action on Fox Sports 1 from 3pm.

“Every week is a really big challenge for us. Some of the results we’ve probably had in our reach but just tripped over at the last hurdle which is really disappointing,” Smith said.

“But there is nothing we can do except keep coming back and working hard, be upbeat and try and draw on all the positive that we’ve been trying to create in each game.

“We always remain upbeat and go into every week confident that we are going to get the job done.”
