Australian Captain Cameron Smith says he and his teammates are excited for a new era and fresh ideas coach Mal Meninga will bring to the national team.

Speaking to the media as the squad assembled on Monday morning in Coogee, Smith explained he and his teammates would be expecting a changed approach under their new mentor.

“I think there will be new ideas given he is a new coach,” Smith said.

Be at AAMI Park when we take on the Panthers on Saturday 4 June, 7:30pm.

“He’ll have some fresh thoughts on the direction of the team and the way we approach our preparation and our games.

“I think all the boys are very excited about having the new coach on board and the new ideas he’ll have for all of us.”
