We are just four sleeps away from season 2016 kicking off and for Storm’s Mr.Consistent this new season brings with it some exciting challenges.
Tohu Harris is this year relishing the competition for spots within Storm’s forward pack.
It is a pack that has been bolstered with the off-season additions of Mark Nicholls, Matt White and Joe Stimson.
Speaking to the media on the eve of the season, Harris believed the competition amongst the Club's big boys can only help the team.
Be there in Round 1 on Monday 7 March at AAMI Park.
“It is really exciting for the season to see a lot of competition in the forward pack,” Harris said
"It makes you want to work even harder to try and compete for a spot in the team. You can see all the younger boys up and fighting for those spots so it is really exciting for the season."
Harris spent the first part of the summer on representative duty in the UK with New Zealand but he has not missed a beat since returning to Melbourne in January.
The 24-year-old, along with his Storm teammates, will have their pre-season preparations put to the immediate test in Round 1 against an accomplished Dragons team.
With the likes of Gareth Widdop and Benji Marshall running the Red V engine, Melbourne will not be taking the visitors lightly on Monday night.
"They’ve got a lot of quality players and I think they are really underrated," Harris said.
"A lot of people had written them off last year and they proved a lot of people wrong. I think they are going to take another step forward this year so it is going to be a tough challenge."
Rugby league is back in Melbourne on Monday night with Storm taking on the Dragons at 7pm this Monday night at AAMI Park.
