Last year, the Warriors hosted their own ANZAC Day game against the Gold Coast Titans at Mt Smart Stadium marking the Centenary of the ANZAC’s.
The Club’s matches against the Warriors have grown to become one of the biggest fixtures of the season, attracting sell-out crowds with often an even split of support.
The game will also mark the return of Club legend, Ryan Hoffman who will play at AAMI Park in a Warriors jersey for only the second time. The 2012 premiership winner accrued 245 games for Storm before joining the Warriors on a three-year deal in 2015.
The two teams have enjoyed a rich rivalry since Melbourne joined the NRL in 1998, with Storm boasting a slender lead in the head-to-head tally, having beaten the Warriors 18 times.
