After spending the opening stages of the season in the Queensland Cup with the Sunshine Coast Falcons, Kenny Bromwich worked his way into Melbourne’s starting 17 to become a mainstay for the majority of the year.

Filling a variety of roles off the bench and in the back-row of Storm’s forward pack the Manurewa Marlins junior didn’t look back after his first NRL match for the year in Round 9, not missing a match for the remainder of the season.

Bromwich’s eager work ethic in defence was a feature of his game and he also showed glimpses of his attacking potency with the ball in hand.

The 24-year old scored three tries for the season, highlighted by his double against the Warriors in Auckland which sparked a second half Storm surge.
