Both Easts Tigers and the Sunshine Coast Falcons suffered losses during Round 4 of the Intrust Super Cup over the weekend.

Jets overpower Falcons in second half

A strong second half performance from the Ipswich Jets left the Sunshine Coast Falcons still looking for their first win of 2015 on the weekend.

Trailing by just eight points at half-time following a competitive opening 40 minutes of play, the Jets and exciting outside back Marmin Barba broke the game open after half-time. Three tries to Barba and one to Sam Martin during the second half allowed the visitors a comfortable buffer at the final siren.

Cutters too strong for Tigers in Mackay

A powerful attacking display from the Cutters hand Mackay a comprehensive 30-8 victory over Easts Tigers on Saturday night.

Jumping out of the blocks, Mackay controlled the contest for much of the 80 minutes and proved to be clinical in attack making the most of their opportunities with the football in hand to score five tries against last season's Grand Finalists.

Playing in the centres, Storm listed outside back Cameron Munster picked up one of two late tries for the Tigers which reduced the full time deficit.

Making his return to football coming back from a knee injury, Storm winger Matt Duffie got through the match unscathed for the Tigers.
