Billy Brittain managed a smile during the demanding conditioning session.

Young hooker Billy Brittain will join Melbourne Storm's full time first-grade squad for the 2015 season.

Brittain, 20, who was originally due to link up with Queensland Cup affiliate the Sunshine Coast Falcons after pre-season will now stay in Melbourne after impressing during his pre-season training stint with the NRL squad.

A former Thunderbolt, Brittain who spent the past two years in Melbourne's U20 system, possesses an industrious work ethic and a strong ball playing ability and will provide Craig Bellamy with depth across dummy half.

The hooker will travel to Auckland at the end of the week and participate in Melbourne's 2015 Auckland Nines campaign. To see the full Storm's full squad for the Nines, click here.
