George Rose joined Melbourne in 2014 after seven years with rivals Manly, bringing over 130 games first-grade experience.

The popular forward played nine games for Storm in the opening half of the season, providing cover for Craig Bellamy’s forward pack off the interchange bench.

The 31-year old finished the year playing a prominent role with Storm’s NSW Cup feeder team Cronulla, featuring in 12 matches for the Sharks.

2014 ‘Moment’:

Rose’s performance against former side Manly in Round 9 was one high point of the forward’s 2014. Giving Melbourne plenty of drive off the bench in the second half as they chased the game, Rose was influential in Storm’s memorable come from behind victory.
