Blore to depart Storm at end of 2026

Melbourne Storm has confirmed Shawn Blore will depart the Club at the conclusion of the 2026 season to take up a playing opportunity with the Brisbane Broncos.

Blore joined Melbourne ahead of the 2024 season from the Wests Tigers and made an immediate impact in purple, playing 24 games across both of his first two years at the Club. He has since played 58 games for Storm, scoring four tries.

The Sydney-born forward has been limited by injury throughout 2026, playing just 10 NRL games.

Director of Football Frank Ponissi thanked Blore for his contribution to the Club.

“Shawn has been an important member of our squad since arriving in 2024 and quickly established himself as a regular starter in our forward pack, helping the team to the 2024 Minor Premiership and consecutive NRL Grand Final appearances.

“While we’re disappointed to see Shawn leave, we understand his decision and wish him, his partner and their family all the best with their move to Brisbane.”
