Sua Fa’alogo Cup returns for 2026

The Sua Fa’alogo Cup returns for 2026! The U16s Hub competition, which kicked off earlier this week is designed to further develop Victoria’s emerging rugby league talent as players prepare for the upcoming 2027 Harold Matthews season.

2025 marked the inaugural year of the local hub competition and proved a huge success, showcasing the top U16 talent from across Melbourne Storm’s junior league system. The three Storm Hub teams; North, South-East and West were selected from regions junior rugby league clubs across Victoria are based, with North Hub crowned the inaugural premiers.

The competition has returned for 2026 and officially got underway this week, with Round 1 played on 12 May at Casey Fields. North defeated South-East 30-24 in a closely contested opening match.

Round 2: West v South East
Tuesday 26 May 2026 – Macpherson Park, Melton – 7:30pm

Round 3: North v West
Saturday 6 June – Seabrook Reserve – 1:30pm

Round 4: North v South East
Tuesday 16 June – 7:00pm

Round 5: West v North
Tuesday 14 July – Macpherson Park, Melton – 7:00pm

Round 6: South East v West
Tuesday 28 July – Casey Fields, Cranbourne – 7:00pm

Grand Final: Tuesday 4 August
Seabrook Reserve – 7:00pm

The Sua Fa'alogo Cup has been named after Sua Fa'alogo, a rising star and proud Victorian who is paving the way for more Melbourne-raised players coming through the local system. Sua’s journey from junior footy in Victoria to the NRL provides motivation and inspiration to all participants.
