Melbourne Storm is pleased to announce Defibrillators Australia as an Official Partner for the 2026 season.
Defibrillators Australia is committed to creating more heart-safe environments across Australia by supplying portable defibrillators to educational institutions, workplaces, sporting and leisure clubs, as well as public and community spaces.
With a mission to help save lives through engaging first aid education and the supply of defibrillators and first aid kits, the partnership will deliver important health and safety outcomes across the Club.
As part of the partnership, Defibrillators Australia has installed a defibrillator cabinet at Melbourne Storm’s Club Office at AAMI Park and supplied two LIFEPAK CR2 AED units. One mounted on-site and one allocated to travel with the team, ensuring coverage both at the facility and on the road.
They will also support the Club’s Football Department and Medical Staff, while partnering with the Melbourne Storm Old Boys to provide heart health check-ups for former players at the annual Old Boys reunion.
Melbourne Storm Chief Medical Officer Rebecca Beaton said the Club was proud to partner with an organisation making such an important impact in the community.
“Player welfare, staff wellbeing and community health are priorities for our Club, so to work alongside Defibrillators Australia is a fantastic outcome,” Beaton said.
“Their commitment to education, prevention and providing life-saving equipment will have a meaningful impact across our Club and throughout our former player network.”
Peter Cochrane, Director of Defibrillators Australia, said the organisation was excited to join forces with Melbourne Storm.
“This partnership is about saving lives, plain and simple,” Cochrane said.
“By working with Melbourne Storm, we’re bringing defibrillators, education, and awareness to the forefront of the community, ensuring more people are prepared when it matters most.”
