Congratulations to Queensland Maroons coach, Billy Slater, and Captain, Cameron Munster, on an incredible 2-1 series win in the 2025 State of Origin series.
Storm CEO, Justin Rodski, said Melbourne Storm were extremely proud of all Storm representatives who were involved with both teams across the course of the series.
Munster led the Maroons as Captain from Game Two in a side which included Harry Grant, Trent Loiero and Xavier Coates with Jack Howarth also getting a taste of Origin as a squad member.
Forward Stefano Utoikamanu lined up for New South Wales in the second and third games of the series, joining Frank Ponissi (Team Performance Manager) and Craig Bellamy (Coaching Advisor) who were part of the Blues camp for the entirety of the series.
“It’s been an incredibly emotional week for many at our club with the passing of Steve Munster, and we were all thinking of Cameron and his family this week,” Rodski said.
“Cameron led from the front, as we knew he would, in an inspiring performance that will no doubt be remembered in Origin history for many years to come.
“We are always very proud of players and staff who do get the opportunity to represent their state at this time of the year and 2025 has been no different.
“The interest this season was particularly heightened for a number of reasons, but to see Cameron lifting the shield will have many in his family, his state and his club smiling.”
