Catch all the best bits from Craig Bellamy’s chat with the media ahead of the Club’s Indigenous Round clash against the Sea Eagles on Friday.

Jahrome Hughes' potential return from injury

"With the bye coming up, we're not going to take any risks, but he’s very confident that he’s okay and the physio thinks he's done enough work to be ready to play as well, so they're obviously positive signs."

"We'll check him out today and see how he goes."

"It's obviously a good thing for us with the [Cameron] Munster injury for Jahrome to come back, but we're not just going to put him back in because Munster’s out, so we'll just see how see how he goes again today."

"If everyone's happy we'll put him in, if there’s any doubt at all we won't because we've got another two weeks."

Confidence in the team

"It's not really me that knows about the confidence, it's about them. The way they started the second half [in Round 11], started then continued, it would have been easier to say 'this is getting too hard here, Munster’s out, we haven't got Paps and we haven't got Hughesy', but it looked like to me they all doubled down."

"Just really important they know what their role is and be really determined to do it."

"I was real happy, real proud of the way they played after a couple of setbacks. They were there for a golden 10 or 12-minute period and took the game away from Parramatta. It was really good how they responded."

Taking on the Manly Sea Eagles

"Obviously, the Broncos beat them by a point last week, but they were pretty unlucky to be quite honest. I think the Broncos would say that too and then I think they led Canberra by 20-0 and then got beat by two."

"I don't think luck has gone their way, but we know what a capable side they are and it's always a tough game at Brookvale."

Bellamy's thoughts on Brad Arthur's departure from the Eels

"I haven't actually spoken to Brad. You get stuck in your own little world, but I'll probably give him a call in the next day or two."

"I'm not in the inner circle, so I don't really know, but it seems like a tough call. At the end of the day, it is what it is."

"I'm sure he’ll find another club. He's a good coach, he's a really good person, so he'll find another job there at some stage."

Appreciation of Jason Ryles within the coaching staff

"He's done a good, really good job for us here, Jason. At the end of the day that's not in my control."

"He's done some defence now with our ruck and a little bit of team stuff."

"He's also taken on the role as a leadership coach and doing a couple of little things out outside of that, a bit in recruitment, just sort of mixing a little bit up for him."

"We don’t want him to go, but at the end of the day, it's not very often you get the opportunity."
