Hughes, Howarth earn Maori All Stars call up

Jahrome Hughes and Jack Howarth have earned call ups to the Maori All Stars side that will take on the Indigenous All Stars in the Harvey Norman All Stars Match taking place on February 16 in Townsville.

Both players will have the chance to represent their culture, with Howarth making his first All Stars appearance and Hughes donning the Maori jersey for the third occasion, having previously featured in 2019 and 2020.

Hughes and Howarth will take the field with several former Storm players, Kenny Bromwich and Brandon Smith named in the Maori squad and Nicho Hynes, Jordan Grant and Josh Addo-Carr listed in the Indigenous All Stars squad.

The NRL All Stars match is a unique opportunity for the game to share stories of both the Indigenous and Māori cultures as well as the contribution players from both cultures have made to rugby league for many years.
