Season in Review: Jack Howarth

Despite being eligible to play in the U21s Jersey Flegg competition, Howarth showed he wasn’t out of place in the HostPlus Cup competition this season, rewarded for his efforts with an NRL debut in Round 27 of the season.

Playing 17 games for the Sunshine Coast Falcons the 21-year-old's big frame was a force to be reckoned with, scoring three tries as well as setting up 3 try assists.

The former QLD Under 20 representative had 1,920 running metres, five line breaks, 62 tackle breaks alongside his 338 tackles as the Falcons went on a run into Week 2 of the finals.

Finally afforded his opportunity in the first grade, Howarth made his NRL debut in the final round of the regular season, putting in a solid performance that included 31 tackles and 80 run metres.
