Storm, Wallabies join forces for double header

A blockbuster weekend of rugby league and rugby union is coming to Melbourne, with a doubleheader taking place on July 28-29, when Melbourne Storm clash with the Parramatta Eels at Marvel Stadium and the Wallabies face New Zealand in the Bledisloe Cup at the MCG.

Fans now have the chance to make sure they don’t miss a single minute of action with a double pass to both games on sale now for just $50. Witness Storm take to the field Friday night, then head out on Saturday night to see the Wallabies suit up!

After watching their boys in action against the Eels, the purple army may see two familiar faces running around on the G’, with two former players Marika Koroibete and Suliasi Vunivalu both in the squad to face the All Blacks.

Koroibete spent three seasons in purple before joining the Melbourne Rebels in 2017 while Vunivalu, who racked up 111 games in five seasons with the club, appeared in both the 2017 and 2020 premiership-winning sides.

It’s not the first time Storm and rugby union have crossed paths, with All Blacks utility Jordie Barrett undergoing personal development with the club and prolific try-scoring winger Will Warbrick joining the Melbourne side in 2022 after earning a silver medal representing the All Blacks in Rugby Sevens at the Tokyo games.
