It was an emotional night for George Jennings who made a return to NRL level for the first time in 462 days. The outside back put in an impressive first shift back in purple – ironically it was the Tigers whom his last outing came against in Round 1, 2022 where Jennings’ season was cruelly cut short by a knee injury.

While all the talk on Saturday night was about Tigers forward Alex Twal’s drought breaking first NRL try after 116 games, Storm utility Tyran Wishart also got on the score sheet for the first time in his NRL career. It took Wishart slightly less time to notch the opening try of his career with Saturday night’s four pointer coming in his 22nd appearance.
Kane Bradley also recorded a first in Campbelltown. The versatile Bradley scored his first Storm try in purple late in the contest.
