Coates returns for Origin 2

Storm winger Xavier Coates has earned a recall for Origin 2 to be played at Suncorp Stadium next week.

Following an impressive month of football which included two first-half tries in Melbourne's strong win over the Sharks yesterday, the 22-year old Coates was chosen by Maroons Coach Billy Slater to fill the vacant wing spot left by the injured Selwyn Cobbo.

Next week's contest will be Coates' first game in the Origin arena since last year's series opener where he was helped from the field during the first half due to injury.

After strong performances in Queensland's win during the series opener in Adelaide, Cameron Munster and Harry Grant have both retained their spots in Slater's squad.
