As Melbourne Storm closes out its third year of partnership with the Good Friday Appeal, the Club are proud to share members, fans and partners dug deep to raise $45,000 in support of The Royal Children’s Hospital in 2023.
In the weeks leading up to the Round 6 Good Friday Appeal clash with the Roosters, the Storm family were in full support raising an incredible $11,700 online, alongside giving coins to tin rattlers before kick-off.
As game day rolled around, Storm’s major partner RedZed made every attendee, try and conversion count by donating 50c for every fan through the AAMI Park stalls, $1,000 for every try Storm scored and $500 for every conversion.
Securing the win over the Roosters saw the squad bring in $6,500 and with a crowd of over 16,000, a further $8,000 was provided by RedZed.
New Premium Partner Fujitsu also dug deep through some half-time fun with Convert for the Kids. Storm Old Boy Matt Duffie and young gun Sua Fa’alogo put in their best kicking efforts on-field to raise another $6,000.
The remaining amount saw some generous members and fans score exclusive match-worn player gear as well as a Joel Selwood’s 2023 Geelong Cats premiership guernsey as the Club held silent auctions for the charity.
Bringing the three-year total to a huge $215,000, we thank all our fans for helping us Give for the Kids ensuring The Royal Children’s Hospital can continue to provide life-saving care for our most vulnerable little ones.
See you all next year!
