Four players selected for Cook Islands

Melbourne Storm are proud to confirm four players have been selected in the Cook Islands squad for the Rugby League World Cup.

Pathway players Amare Milford, K-Ci Newton-Whare, David Tuariki and NRL forward Davvy Moale have been named in the 23-player squad.

Moale, who joins Manly in 2027, has made 9 Test appearances for the Cook Islands since his international debut at the 2022 World Cup.

Milford (second row), Newton-Whare (prop) and Tuariki (prop) have featured for Storm’s NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg sides in 2026 and will be in contention for their Cook Islands debut.

Cook Islands kick-off their World Cup campaign against Fiji on Sunday 18 October, before games against New Zealand and Australia.
