Team Announcement: Round 5 v Rabbitohs

Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy has named an unchanged starting line-up for the first time this season for the NRL round five match-up with the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Accor Stadium on Friday night.

With Jahrome Hughes serving the final week of his two-week suspension, rookie Jonah Pezet continues at halfback and will play his first NRL match in his home state of New South Wales.

The only changes to the squad of 17 that defeated Wests Tigers come on the interchange bench with Tom Eisenhuth named to make his first NRL appearance of the year after returning from injury for the Sunshine Coast Falcons in the Hostplus Cup 10 days ago and Bronson Garlick taking over the No.14 jersey from Tyran Wishart who is on the reserves’ list.

Winger George Jennings has been added to the extended bench for the first time in 2023 after lining up in two games for the Brisbane Tigers as he makes his comeback from an ACL tear in round one last year.

Both Storm and the Rabbitohs have 2-2 win-loss records after the first month of the season.

Kickoff is at 8pm. Watch live on 9Gem (VIC), Channel 9 (NSW/QLD), Fox League and Kayo.
