Young Tonumaipea: Season in Review

1,479 days separated Young Tonumaipea’s time pulling on the purple jersey and what a special return it was.

Following a four-year absence, Tonumaipea returned to the Storm contingent mid-way through the season on a train and trial deal from the Melbourne Rebels eager to dip back into rugby league.

Tonumaipea featured twice in Craig Bellamy’s side in the second half of the season securing two tries, seven tackle breaks, three line breaks and a 93.8% tackle efficiency.

The Victorian finished the season as 18th man on numerous occasions providing depth to Storm’s outside back ranks.
