The final of the Melbourne Storm Cup schools competition and an AAMI Park home game for the Victorian Thunderbolts will be part of a huge three-game schedule of rugby league on Sunday.
Gosch’s Paddock will be the venue for the schools final which kicks off the triple-header at 12.30pm.
The Melbourne Storm Cup has provided another opportunity for up-and-coming Victorian rugby league stars to play their chosen sport with all games livestreamed by News Limited.
Playing off for the inaugural title are The Grange College in Hoppers Crossing and Hallam Secondary College from Melbourne’s south-east who came through the qualifying rounds which started in May.
In their previous meeting, The Grange came away with a 32-18 victory and they also added qualifying wins against Mt Ridley College (36-14) and Victoria University Secondary College (14-12).
Hallam defeated Mt Ridley 36-0 and Victoria University Secondary College 32-0 before their loss in the last pool match.
The presentation for the winning team will take place during halftime of the NRL round 18 match between the Storm and Canberra Raiders inside AAMI Park.
The middle game of the triple-header will feature the Thunderbolts against Canberra in the NSW Jersey Flegg competition from 1.45pm.
A recent run of losses has dropped the Thunderbolts to 10th position on the table and desperately in need of a win against the Raiders who are in seventh.
