Stats that Matter: Round 17 v Sharks

Here are the stats from Melbourne Storm’s Round 17 match against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.

After a whirlwind debut season, Alec MacDonald went on to secure his first NRL try in the final few minutes of last night’s clash.

The lock celebrated the achievement by imitating NBA star Kobe Bryant’s signature ‘fadeaway’ move contributing to Sportsbet's Try July fundraiser for Men of League, adding $5K to the total.

Coming to the end of an unfortunate Origin and representative period, the Storm squad now have a lengthy nine days until their next NRL match-up against the Canberra Raiders.

Exactly one month since their Round 15 clash with the Broncos, the team will return home to the purple faithful at AAMI Park on Sunday 17 July. The Heritage Round game will see Storm celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Club’s 2012 Grand Final win by wearing a replica of the premiership-winning jersey, which you can purchase, here
