Catch all the important stats from Saturday night’s clash with the Sydney Roosters. 

Grant Anderson has found a new lucky number with the number ‘2’ a reoccurring them of his debut NRL match. At 22 years old, Anderson was named Storm player 222 alongside becoming the 22nd Sunshine Coast Falcons player to play for the Melbourne Club. He went on to score 2 tries in the 2022 clash. 

The young gun also becomes the first player to score 2 tries on debut at the Syndey Cricket Ground since 1971. 

Marion Seve found his groove Saturday night, putting forward one of his best performances in purple to date. 

Pulling on the No. 3 jersey, Seve went on to score 2 tries, 3 line breaks, 9 tackle breaks and 15 runs for 170 metres. The centre also earnt praise from the coach, with Craig Bellamy saying it was best game he had played for the Club.

Bellamy will be pleased with his side’s completion rate on Saturday night. The impressive 86% completion rate from the Storm outfit was only 2% behind the Club’s best return for the year. 

Storm recorded an 88% completion rate in wins against the Warriors, Dragons and Sea Eagles. 

2 (again) 

Saturday night’s win was Storm’s second victory in three games at the Syndey Cricket Ground. 

Making their first appearance at the historic venue in 2019, the 12-point margin followed another double-digit win back in 2020 after the Club defeated the Roosters 24-6.
