Statement on behalf of Melbourne Storm

Melbourne Storm is mourning the passing of one of its most passionate and courageous family members, Isabella ‘Bella’ Tripp.

Bella, daughter of Melbourne Storm Chairman Matt and wife Yas, sadly passed away aged 14 today after a long and brave battle with Leukemia.

The board, players, coaches and staff will honour Bella’s life and her passion and love for the Club in the coming weeks.

Players and staff will wear black armbands at the game against the Canberra Raiders this weekend and the players will share a moment on the field before kick-off to pay tribute to Bella.

Our deepest sympathies and thoughts are with Matt and Yas, Bella’s older brother Alex and sister Matti, and the entire Tripp family during this difficult time.

Acknowledgement of Country

Melbourne Storm respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on.
