At Melbourne Storm, teenage winger Dean Ieremia is best known as ‘Noodle’.

The Victorian-raised flyer from the outer northern suburbs was recently promoted to the Storm’s roster from a development role and is in the running to make his debut, potentially in Thursday’s season-opener at AAMI Park should coach Craig Bellamy opt to start him ahead of George Jennings or Reimis Smith.
Ieremia moved through the ranks from training once a week as a 15-year-old to playing for the Storm’s junior side, the Thunderbolts, and eventually earning a development contract.
Ieremia is loved around the Storm for his smile, hard work and fearless attitude while the team also loves how his father, Faleseu Ieremia, has long driven his son into training at AAMI Park from the outer north, a drive that often takes over an hour each way.
