Bellamy headlines leadership luncheon on Sunny Coast

Storm’s multiple premiership winning coach Craig Bellamy will be the special guest at a function on the Sunshine Coast next month.

Tickets are on sale now for the fundraiser at Alexandra Headland Surf Club on February 19 which will support the local club’s youth development program.

“Alex Club is pleased Craig has made himself available for this occasion as his experiences with leadership and teamwork is of relevance to the emergency marine incidents and care we are familiar with, where a successful and positive outcome can be the direct result of planned and practised prior training and preparation,” a club spokesperson said.

“Our upcoming leadership luncheon is an event that will raise much needed funds towards the club’s youth development fund.

“Alexandra Headland SLSC initiated a junior lifesaving program through nippers in 1968 and for over 50 years have organised, educated, trained, and made proficient its junior members who can join a beach patrol at age 14.

“The club links strongly with local Sunshine Coast families, other volunteer organisations and business communities to supply trainers, resources, and learning opportunities to develop young lifesavers.”

Date: Friday, February 19, midday for 12:30 pm start.
