Storm turn to Wallabies to help whip Josh Addo-Carr into shape

via Christian Nicolussi

Josh Addo-Carr has turned to some Wallabies figures to help him catch-up with pre-season training on the far North Coast of NSW, but his hopes of playing in the Indigenous All-Stars game are fading.

Addo-Carr and Melbourne teammate George Jennings have been based in Lennox Head for the past week because Storm officials did not want them stranded in Sydney - a COVID ''red zone'' - and unable to cross the border.

They will join their teammates early next week provided a Victorian government exemption does not arrive beforehand.

Addo-Carr has been training with Wallabies attack coach Scott Wisemantel, who lives in the area and is a close friend of Storm football manager Frank Ponissi, as well as former Waratahs and Wallabies star Berrick Barnes.
